  1. Beth you have so succinctly expressed this tragedy, that our older generation are being forgotten and made invisible through the lack of love, concern and respect for all that they have contributed.

    1. Thank you also Cheryl. This piece is brief but a personal one. My dad who has recently passed experienced so much abandonment from the system. A very degrading experience for him and my mother.
      The system is very cold and crude to the elderly and yet there is much silence on this issue.
      My hope was to honor my das by bringing some awareness to this.
      I work in healthcare and have watched many elderly go through this. Being a family member to the elderly parent and on the other end of it was very difficult but has lit a fire under me..
