All the stores were the same, the workers all sung the same song an homage to the new system, those who differed in the slightest were refused.
I kept my pace against the crowds as many were walking the other way. The letters on the cardboard signs were all the same. I heard them chanting, the words seemed to parrot the language of the new world system.
A hand grabbed my arm, a firm voice said, βcome this way! You will not be able to work, buy or sell, get medication(s), the hospitals or physicians will not treat you, you will lose your home, your earnings will be no more and the streets will become your swift enemy. Come the way of the system and be saved or a threat you will be.β I nodded but did not bow for I only wanted to walk the other way.
We always follow the same way where all are going maybe it wrong. Well written thank you ππππ

Profound Beth. Let’s hope that there will be sufficient of us walking the other way to maintain a modicum of common sense!

I hope so. I feel as though something is coming, not sure what but at some point a breaking point will be reached
